Sydney – Chinese premium EV brand Zeekr, part of the Geely group alongside Volvo, Polestar and Lotus, has confirmed Australian pricing and specifications for its new 7X SUV.

The five-seat electric model joins the Zeekr X and Zeekr 009 later this year. Measuring 4,787mm long with a 2,900mm wheelbase, it offers 539 litres of rear luggage space plus a small front compartment. Styling comes from Zeekr’s Gothenburg design centre, using the group’s SEA platform.

Three versions are available: a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) model with a 75kWh “Golden Battery” and 480km range, a Long-Range RWD variant with a 100kWh pack for 615km, and the dual-motor AWD Performance with 475kW, 710Nm and a claimed 3.8-second 0-100km/h time. All use an 800V electrical system enabling very high charging rates. Zeekr claims 10-80% top-ups in 13 minutes for the base RWD on a 360kW charger, or 16 minutes for the larger-battery versions. A 22kW AC charger is standard.

Inside, the cabin seats five and includes features such as heated and cooled front massage seats on the Performance grade, power-operated front and rear doors, and a 16-inch central touchscreen powered by Qualcomm’s 8295 Snapdragon chip. Optional equipment includes a 36.2-inch augmented-reality head-up display. Driver assistance tech covers adaptive cruise, surround-view monitoring, cross-traffic alerts and automatic parking.

The AWD Performance adds off-road capability via a dedicated driving mode, traction and suspension changes, and an air suspension system that can raise ground clearance by 45mm.

Local pricing has not yet been released, though Zeekr is taking pre-orders. Early buyers – the first 1,000 orders – will receive a 7kW home charger, charging cables, and complimentary exterior and interior colour choices. All 7X models include a seven-year vehicle warranty and roadside assistance.
